Some members of the House of Commons rushed through Bill C389, or the Gender Identity Bill, adding two undefined and subjectively based terms “Gender Identity” and “Gender Expression” to the Canada Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code. If Bill C389 becomes law, it could expose businesses, schools, religious groups, and other institutions to a host of new ‘human rights’ complaints that trample on their freedom of expression. If the bill becomes law, biological males who claim that they are female will have the right to enter female washroom and bathroom, and vice versa, directly trampling on the rights of others.
We, the undersigned, are asking members of the Senate to slow down and to consider what this bill would do to families and children in Canada, We are asking that the Senate study this subject thoroughly and not rush. We are asking the Senate to consider the rights of the families and children. We are asking the Senate to amend or defeat this bill and send it back to the House of Commons.
國會下議院部份議員怱怱的把 C389議案通過了。這議案把兩個含糊不清，以主觀意願為依歸的詞（Gender Identity, Gender Expression）加入了加拿人人權法和刑事法內。若這法案成為法律，將會為商戶，學校，宗教團體及其他的組織帶來無窮的所謂“人權”訴訟，直接影響了他們的言論自由。若這議案成為法律，一個自稱轉性的人就有權進入異性廁所及浴室，直接影響其他人的權益。
我們懇請上議院議員慢慢的，仔細地對這議案作出研究，聽取各界的意見，了解其對家庭與孩子的影響，對該法案予以修訂或否決，發回下議院再重新起草。
